Research

My research is driven by the goal of connecting fundamental materials science with practical engineering needs. I investigate how processing and microstructure govern material performance, with an emphasis on developing reliable and sustainable solutions relevant to local industries and the engineering environment of Bangladesh.

Research Interests

Advanced Steels and Structural Materials

Steel Metallurgy, Microstructure–Property Relationships, Structural Materials

I am interested in how processing and microstructural evolution shape the mechanical behaviour of steels and structural materials. I explore these relationships to understand material performance and develop approaches for improving the reliability of engineering materials.

Microstructure

Fracture, Corrosion & Materials Performance

Fracture, Corrosion Behaviour, Mechanical Performance and Durability

I am particularly drawn to understanding how materials respond to mechanical loading and demanding service environments. My research explores fracture, embrittlement, and corrosion to better understand the mechanisms governing material degradation and performance.

Fracture Surface

Energy & Functional Materials

Photovoltaics, Energy Storage, Functional Nanomaterials , Energy Conversion

I am interested in developing advanced materials for emerging energy technologies. I explore how composition, structure, and electronic properties can be tailored to improve the performance of materials for energy conversion and storage.
